This week at Cornucopia Cooks

January 31, 2021 By Sandy

Monday 1st February 2021

  • There are a couple of places left for this week’s “pop out” restaurant , Friday the 5th of February. The menu is  here . What better way to mark the beginning of the weekend :). The next one will be Friday 5th of March
  • Turn to pasta for a quick dinner? Lack sauce inspiration? Have you seen my 52 pasta sauce suggestions, one for every week of the year? No, well click here and get cooking.
  • Sometimes a quick recap on basic cooking techniques is jus what we need, Bon Appetit suggests 6 simple rules to remember when roasting veggies – well worth a glance.
  • Restaurants and pubs have been turning to take away services for almost a year now and there are some interesting articles around exploring the economics of this, packaging issues, delivery options etc. By far the most inciteful is this one published in the Economist (only available if you subscribe to the publication) which exposes the real provenance of posh delivered meals and the impact this could have on the future of dining out. In this Guardian article chefs around the country explain how they have embraced facilitating dining at home experiences (just like Cornucopia 🙂 )
