Monday 20th July
- Bookings are now open for the next “pop out” restaurant at home, Friday 7th August. Here is the menu. If you haven’t had an opportunity to try this great event, treat yourself. Food is collected on the Friday, but will keep really well until Sunday – so no excuse about fitting it in to your hectic schedule 🙂
- I had hoped to have deli platters available this week, unfortunately I have been a bit naive about availability of some deli platter favourites – so I am taking an extra week to create my deli platter menus – sorry :(.
- Courgettes galore in my garden this week. I like picking them small and tried this over the weekend – delicious – thinly slice courgettes, heat a bit of olive oil, quickly saute for a minute or 2 at the most, remove, squeeze fresh lemon juice over warm courgette slices and stir in some thinly sliced preserved lemon, dill and parsley – yum – keeps in the fridge too.
- It’s not often these days that I’m inspired to purchase a new cookery book, but these recipes have sold this Burmese book to me.
Cooking this week:
No fresh ready meals this week, but plenty available from the freezer which can be collected on Friday between 2.00pm and 5.00pm
