French baking day, Tuesday 9th May 2017

May 12, 2017 By Sandy

Four of us had a busy day baking with much success and a little “could be improved on”. The latter due to the expert and the apples (bad workman blaming tools?)

Hello Sandy
Just to say how very much I enjoyed today.  Thank you for doing so much of the preparation work so we could really enjoy creating and talking about it as we went along.  My family is very impressed with our output!  Photos have gone to London and Falmouth and both Jessica & Sophie are wishing they were here tonight with Matthew & I!
It was very nice cooking with Sarah & Pat.  Always fun to meet new people who like food!
I will let you know how my next Tarte Tatin creation goes.  Not sure when I will make it but be sure, I will tell you all about it!
Really LOVED making the puff pastry by hand.  Thought it was delicious.  Would definitely do it again.  Would be most grateful for the recipe in due course.
Emma

Dear Sandy
The day was, as usual, really enjoyable and so informative. Even with my 101 cookbooks I still find more to learn in your kitchen. Thank you again.
Neighbours well fed and very impressed. I will probably try all of the recipes again except the macaroons, but it was still good to try out the techniques.
I’m feeling much more confident about entertaining now- after 51 years of house holding!
Regards
Pat

Thanks, Sandy. 🙂
As you know from my waxing lyrical yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed the French Baking day and learned a great deal. I thought it was so well-run – warm, efficient and engaging. And what a delicious lunch!
love Sarah x
