Beef burgers
Enough for 4 × 1/4 pounders!
Ingredients:
500g minced beef
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
good slug of Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to tast
2 tbsp sunflower/rapeseed oil
- Place the onion and garlic in your food processor and chop (do not over chop)
- Add mince, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning, blitz until thoroughly mixed.
- Remove from food processor and form into 4 equal sized burgers.
- Heat the oil on a griddle or in a frying pan, cook burgers for 5 minutes each side.
Delicious served in a ciabata bap with pickled dills, ketchup/mayo/horseraddish/sweet chilli, salad and crisps.
If you don’t have a food processor, finely chop onion and garlic and then combine all ingredients in a bowl – I use my hands.
You can add chilli, herbs, horseradish, ground cumin and coriander to the mince mixture.
Try placing a cube of cheddar or Gruyère in the centre of the burger prior to frying.
