Beef burgers

March 26, 2013 By Sandy

Beef  burgers

Enough for 4 × 1/4 pounders!

Ingredients:
500g minced beef
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
good slug of Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to tast
2 tbsp sunflower/rapeseed oil

  1. Place the onion and garlic in your food processor and chop (do not over chop)
  2. Add mince, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning, blitz until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Remove from food processor and form into 4 equal sized burgers.
  4. Heat the oil on a griddle or in a frying pan, cook burgers for 5 minutes each side.

Delicious served in a ciabata bap with pickled dills, ketchup/mayo/horseraddish/sweet chilli, salad and crisps.

If you don’t have a food processor, finely chop onion and garlic and then combine all  ingredients in a bowl – I use my hands.

You can add chilli, herbs, horseradish, ground cumin and coriander to the mince mixture.
Try placing a cube of cheddar or Gruyère in the centre of the burger prior to frying.
