November 2012
What the event included:
- A team of engineers from a large company arrived at 4.30pm to make pasta and have dinner.
- They were divided into 4 groups.
- Each group made pasta from scratch, created and filling, decided on a filled pasta shape, and then created their own pasta.
- Demonstrations and help was on hand at all times.
- The team then sat down to dinner and had their pasta as on of the courses.
What they said afterwards:
Hi Sandy,
Thanks so much for making our team building event such a fun, delicious and memorable one. I thought the way you split us into mixed up groups was a good idea and as the newest addition to the team, I got to know people a bit better.
The information you gave us was really interesting – I had no idea there was so much to pasta! I did do a taste test with the pasta and pesto you provided us and the pasta I had at home. Having only ever eaten cheap own brand through uni I have definitely been converted.
I was talking to my grandma about it and she has an old pasta maker in her loft she never uses and is donating to me, so I have absolutely no excuse not to get creating!
Thanks again,
Dear Sandy
Thank you for making the event a great success!
I have greatly enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere.
Your explanations on food were very interesting and instructive and watching my team making pasta was hilarious!
I hope to participate to other Cornucopia’s events in the future.
See you soon and many thanks again.
Hi Sandy,
Many thanks for looking after us yesterday – the overwhelming consensus is that everyone very much enjoyed the event, and learned something too!
I have circulated the recipe sheets (thank you), along with your request for feedback.
Thanks again,
Hi Sandy,
A really wonderful evening. I have always wanted to have a go at making pasta and that evening provided the opportunity.
The other thing I have now realised about fresh pasta is how filling it is; I had no room left for the extras you offerred us ….the lasagne and ginger pudding.
Thanks again,
